Practical assignments

Practical assignments offer a guided, level-appropriate implementation of dishes. The associated learning jobs are based on the performance targets of the EFZ chef training plan 2024 and are thematically and chronologically coordinated with the vocational college and inter-company courses.

Pauli teaching aids

PAULI is the cooking bible of Switzerland and has been setting standards for almost 100 years. The complete PAULI content (including the brand new recipe book) is available at MPL.

Automated education report

Training reports are issued automatically and pre-filled. They refer to the tracked workouts of developed professional skills and can be adjusted at any time.

Cooperation between vocational trainers & learners

Problem 1

Automated education report

A person is competent to act if they carry out professional tasks and activities on their own initiative, in a goal-oriented, professional and flexible manner (SERI).

MPL is based on the so-called log model (Schönbächler/Pem 2022), which is able to map the current status of professional, methodological, personal and social skills in the education report using the resources knowledge, ability and willingness.

Problem 2

Practical and learning assignments

Practical assignments relate to delivery items in commercial kitchens. The learning assignments or learning jobs ensure that learning resources are built up in line with the level. Learners gain independence through active involvement in production.

Problem 3

Chatbot integration

The chatbot function complements the so-called knowledge islands, which give learners access to the knowledge they need in practice without having to do any research. The chatbot can be used independently of the learning path to practise building up food knowledge in a playful way.

Automated education report

The current level of education can be related to previous entries by means of a full-text search.
